Maintenance for compressors includes cleaning coils and emptying water tanks, while desiccants require periodic wheel cleaning or replacement after years of use.
Choosing between the two depends on your primary environment and budget. For consistently warm, damp areas, a compressor dehumidifier offers superior efficiency and lower running costs. For cold, unheated, or enclosed spaces where noise matters, a desiccant unit provides reliable performance.
